Add your choice of operating system, one or two radios on a,b or g, use outdoor or indoor enclosures, connect appropriate antenna - the ALIX system follows the design philosophy of the IBM PC - one motherboard, mix 'n match other components to tailor a variety of solutions, all from one basic kit.
Built-in POE through the eth.port makes remote operation away from the LAN and close to the antenna easy. Fast assembly into enclosures and robustness in operation were the key to the outstanding success of this board's predecessor, the WRAP2. The ALIX 3 series in outdoor enclosures, fitted with dual radios, will be the standard solution for 5.8 GHz backhaul and 2.4 GHz local distribution, providing greater reliability than Mikrotik alternatives, and with genuine RoHS and CE certification.
The ALIX board is also available with an LX700 processor and 128 Mb DRAM.
