This version of the ALIX routerboard is in mini-itx format but because it has a dc-dc convertor on board does not require a bulky ATX-style PSU, just a 12v 1.25 A supply from a power brick.
In addition to the usual mini-itx i/o ports and a Geode 500 processor the ALIX 1C has an mPCI port for a wireless card and a Compact Flash port as well as the 44-pin IDE port, so the board can boot from an operating system onboard and will run Windows XP Home.
Enclosure options will become available early in 2008.
