This add-on units accepts a 48v 802.11.af compliant power supply as provided by POE switches and drops the 48v to the 16v to operate Ubiquiti units. note that this unit is for indoor use only: the outdoor version is available - type 'outdoor' in the search box to find it quickly.
An ethernet socket is provided at the base of the unit for the incoming ethernet cable from the switch carrying the data and 48v supply. Data and power are then passed to the Ubiquiti unit. This eliminates separate power supplies and power over ethernet injectors.
