What happened in October?
Welcome to our month in review for October 2019 where we’ll discuss all the latest events from MS Distribution, including updates from your favourite manufacturers.
A New Generation of Switches
More recently, Ubiquiti released their 2nd Generation of UniFi Switches, boasting a variety of features, including near-silent cooling, redundant power systems (PRO models only), and touchscreen displays. The new UniFi Switch range is a highly anticipated addition to Ubiquiti’s existing line.
Four new switches are available, providing 802.3af/at or 802.3bt PoE output. The STANDARD variants are available with either 16 or 24 total ports, comprised of 8 or 16x auto-sensing 802.3af/at PoE output ports and 2x SFP ports.
The PRO variants are available with either 24 or 48 total ports, with 8x 802.3bt PoE output ports, and 16 or 40x auto-sensing 802.3af/at PoE output ports. Fibre ports are also included, with 2x SFP+ ports available on the 24-port model and 4x SFP+ ports available on the 48-port model.
Training Course Updates
The MS Distribution Training Centre has been providing certified Ubiquiti and MikroTik courses since 2012, gaining a strong track record in delivering professional quality training courses and high success rates in helping our customers obtain manufacturer certified engineer status. Places are now available for all training courses currently set to run throughout 2020 so book now to avoid disappointment.

New Ubiquiti UKI Installers Group on Facebook
Ubiquiti recently launches a Facebook group dedicated to connecting installers from across the UK and Ireland. The group serves as a hub where installers can talk about their implementations, ask questions, and talk about any and all things related to Ubiquiti. The group will be managed by Ubiquiti’s social media team and will also feature announcements of new product releases.
