MikroTik hAP ax S – Cost-Effective WiFi 6 Access Point with 2.5G SFP
The MikroTik hAP ax S is a cost-effective WiFi 6 access point designed to deliver strong wireless performance alongside flexible wired connectivity. Featuring dual-band WiFi 6 with a triple-chain 5 GHz radio, it provides stable, efficient throughput for environments with multiple connected devices. Its compact, wall-mountable design allows discreet installation in both professional and small-scale deployments.
Beyond wireless connectivity, the hAP ax S includes five Gigabit Ethernet ports and a 2.5G SFP cage, offering options for high-speed uplinks, fibre connectivity, or fast local network access. Powered by a dual-core ARM processor and running RouterOS v7, it supports advanced networking features such as VLANs, firewalls, VPNs, and traffic management, delivering flexibility well beyond basic access point functionality.
Powering options include PoE input, a standard DC jack, and passive PoE output, allowing the device to power another MikroTik unit if required. A USB port adds further expansion capability for storage or additional functions. This balance of WiFi 6 performance, versatile connectivity, and full RouterOS control makes the hAP ax S a practical choice for cost-conscious networks that still demand scalability and control.
