FAQs
Q1: What is the UMR‑Industrial and what is it used for?
A: The UMR‑Industrial is a rugged, carrier‑unlocked mobile LTE router designed for indoor or outdoor use. It provides cellular internet access over 4G/LTE and can serve as a wired or wireless router, suitable for IoT, remote sites, or resilient backup connectivity.
Q2: What network interfaces and connectivity does the UMR‑Industrial support?
A: It includes 2 × Gigabit Ethernet (RJ‑45) ports, a built‑in LTE Cat 4 modem (supports download up to 150 Mbps, upload up to 50 Mbps), Wi‑Fi 4 (802.11b/g/n) at 2.4 GHz, and a nano‑SIM slot for mobile network. External antennas (LTE, GPS, Wi‑Fi) are supported via SMA/RP‑SMA connectors.
Q3: What power supply and PoE capabilities does the device offer?
A: The UMR‑Industrial can be powered via PoE input (48–54 V DC), USB‑C (5 V), or a 4‑pin DC socket (9–30 V DC). It also provides a PoE output port (up to 10 W) for powering downstream devices, allowing flexible deployment and powering of additional network gear or devices.
Q4: What are the mechanical, mounting, and environmental specifications?
A: With its outdoor cover the router measures approximately 217 × 94 × 32 mm and weighs about 395 g. It is housed in polycarbonate and aluminium, rated IP66 (weatherproof), and supports mounting on wall, pole or DIN‑rail — making it suitable for industrial, rooftop, mast, or exposed‑site installations. It operates over a wide temperature range (−40 °C to +70 °C) and tolerates 5–95% non‑condensing humidity.
Q5: What practical use‑cases is the UMR‑Industrial best suited for?
A: It’s ideal for remote‑site internet, mobile or temporary installations, IoT and telemetry networks, backup cellular connectivity, rugged outdoor deployments, and situations requiring reliable LTE backbone with optional PoE pass‑through to power additional devices (e.g. cameras or switches).
