FAQs
Q1: What is the USW‑Pro‑XG‑10‑PoE used for?
A: It’s a high‑performance managed switch designed for environments needing multi‑gigabit connectivity and substantial PoE power — such as enterprise networks, multi‑device deployments with PoE cameras, APs, VoIP phones, or switch stacking.
Q2: What ports and connectivity options does the switch provide?
A: The switch offers 8 × multi‑rate RJ45 ports (1/2.5/5/10 GbE) capable of PoE/PoE+/PoE++, plus 2 × 10G SFP+ ports for fibre or high‑speed uplinks, giving flexible LAN and backbone connectivity.
Q3: What PoE power output and total budget does the USW‑Pro‑XG‑10‑PoE support?
A: It supports a total PoE budget of 320 W. Individual RJ45 ports can deliver up to 90 W (PoE++), suitable for powering high-demand PoE devices like multi-radio wireless APs, high‑power cameras, or other PoE‑powered network hardware.
Q4: What are the switching performance and throughput specifications?
A: The switch offers non‑blocking throughput of 80 Gbps, a switching capacity of 160 Gbps, and a forwarding rate around 119 million packets per second (Mpps) — suitable for heavy data loads, multiple simultaneous high‑speed connections, and backbone traffic.
Q5: What are the physical build, power requirements and deployment features?
A: The unit is rack‑mountable (1U, 19″), with dimensions around 442 × 267.5 × 43.7 mm, weighs approximately 4.5 kg, and uses a built‑in AC/DC power supply (220 W or 320 W depending on region). It is designed for standard indoor rack environments and supports typical commercial operating temperatures and humidity ranges.
