MikroTik GPERx6 – Outdoor Fibre and PoE Switch for Long-Distance Power Delivery
The MikroTik GPERx6 is a rugged outdoor switch designed to simplify power and data delivery over long distances using a single hybrid fibre and copper cable. It enables fibre uplinks and DC power to be delivered together, reducing cabling complexity in challenging environments. At the remote end, the GPERx6 cleanly separates power and data, providing high-speed fibre connectivity alongside PoE and DC outputs for connected equipment.
Built for demanding deployments, the GPERx6 features three 10G SFP+ ports for long-distance fibre uplinks and three Gigabit Ethernet ports that support both PoE input and PoE output. Additional DC outputs allow power delivery to devices that do not support PoE, such as specialised IoT or industrial hardware. A dedicated 10G switch chip ensures reliable switching performance, while flexible powering options support a wide range of installation scenarios.
Housed in a heavy-duty IP66-rated enclosure, the GPERx6 is engineered to withstand harsh outdoor conditions, including extreme temperatures, wind, and rain. It is well suited to perimeter surveillance, remote CCTV towers, industrial sites, and edge deployments where minimising cable runs and maintaining reliable connectivity over distances of one to two kilometres is essential.
