Tycon Power PoE/Solar 24v/48v Input Charge Controller (Dual Polarity)
Tycon Power Systems POE/Solar charge controllers have dual inputs to charge batteries from a POE source and also from a secondary source such as solar panels in order to provide redundancy and ensure 100% uptime for critical applications. The solar input can handle up to 8A, the POE input up to 2.6A.
The built-in POE inserter delivers 48V 0.625A at the POE out port and has a secondary wire terminal 24V 1.5A output.
There is full electronic protection for short circuit, reverse current, overvoltage, overcharge and over discharge.
The built-in over discharge protection and low self consumption ensure the battery is not over-discharged, which greatly increases the life of the batteries.
Five LED indicators give provide visual indication that current is being supplied by a POE source or solar panel, if the battery is charging, if load output is turned on and provides a warning if the battery is connected with polarity reversed.
Solar and Battery Connections are via 4 wire terminals for wire size up to 10AWG. POE Input and Output is via 2 RJ45 shielded connectors.
The 48V DC passive POE output and 24V DC secondary output are regulated to prevent damage to devices due to overvoltage and can provide up to 60W total power for various equipment..
The controllers are externally fused with a standard replaceable fuse.
